What kind of help do you need right now?
Dignity Pathways International is an educational and referral resource. We are not an emergency service and cannot dispatch help directly. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted emergency organization in your location first.
Every service Dignity Pathways International offers is free. You will never be asked to pay us for a risk assessment, a referral, or any other support, at any point, for any reason.
01. Emergency
Immediate physical danger, violence, confinement, or a medical emergency
Contact the local emergency number wherever you currently are. If you are in Ghana, dial 112 (the national emergency line, which connects to police, fire, and ambulance services) or 191for police directly. If you are in another country, use that country’s emergency number. Ask someone nearby, or search “[the country name] emergency number” if you are able to.
If it’s safe to do so, also contact your embassy or consulate in the country you’re in. They can assist citizens in emergencies, including cases of exploitation or trafficking.
02. Urgent exploitation concern
Threats, forced work, withheld wages, document confiscation, or you can’t leave
This is not an active physical emergency, but it needs attention from a qualified organization or authority as soon as possible.
We keep a country-by-country list of relevant emergency numbers and organizations, covering Ghana and the countries Ghanaian workers most commonly migrate to.
